Comanche Nation Youth Dancers spent the better part of November celebrating Native American Heritage month at schools across Texoma. Now they are in Lawton.

With Native Heritage Month in full swing and controversial new enforcement at the state level in Oklahoma, there’s plenty to discuss on this week’s edition of Comanche Happenings.
The two bison that were left on private property after being euthanized by the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, were retrieved and taken off the property in early October.
Members of the KCA and residents gathered to celebrate at Lawton City Hall where Mayor Booker presented the proclamation acknowledging the second Monday of October as Indigenous Peoples' Day.
